Yesterday was a big day for my oldest child! Not only did she finish learning how to write all of her numbers in her Handwriting Without Tears book, but she also learned how to ride a bike! She was so excited! It only took 1 day of practicing. . Probably a total of less than an hour and she was off!
She seems so much older now. A few weeks ago she got her ears pierced, and she has taken such good care of her ears all on her own. All I have to do is remind her to clean them (sometines she remembers all on her own) and she gets it done all by herself! Those are just the little things. She has truly become such a fun girl to hang out with. I enjoy being around her, and I enjoy talking with her. She is so caring, generous, and sweet.
It's bittersweet. I love the young girl she is maturing into, but I miss the baby I used to hold in my arms. We've been talking about having another baby. I don't know if that is gonna happen, but my oldest child getting older sure makes me want another one! :)
